Accessibility Statement
BWAP – Brokerage with a Purpose GmbH · Hamburg Sotheby’s International Realty
Scope
BWAP – Brokerage with a Purpose GmbH (Hamburg Sotheby’s International Realty) strives to design its website hamburg-sothebysrealty.com so that it is accessible to everyone and usable without outside help. This statement applies to all pages under hamburg-sothebysrealty.com, in German and English.
The benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA, which the European standard EN 301 549 and the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) also refer to.
Status of compliance
The website is largely compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 AA. In October 2026 we improved colour contrasts, added a clearly visible keyboard focus, named form fields, logo and image links unambiguously, hid decorative graphics from screen readers and cleaned up the heading structure. The symbol at the bottom edge of the screen lets you adjust font size, contrast, line spacing and other display settings.
Content that is not fully accessible
The following content is not yet, or not fully, accessible:
- Map: The Google map on the contact page is only loaded after your consent and cannot be fully operated by keyboard. Our office address appears as text on the same page.
- Property images: Images in our exposés are imported from our property management system; their alternative texts describe the room, but not every detail.
- External pages: The exposé landing pages of our service provider Propstack and embedded third-party services are outside our control.
- Video: The video in the header of the homepage is purely decorative and contains no information; it is not loaded if “reduce motion” is enabled on your device.
We are working to improve these points step by step.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 22 October 2026. It is based on a self-assessment with automated checks and manual spot checks of all page types (homepage, property overview, exposés, selling, letting, buying, search profile, locations, magazine, company, contact, legal texts, forms).
